Looking Back

Exactly 10 years ago today, the very first entry of this blog was published. Many things have certainly changed since then. When it first started, people wrote casually, about daily life, and from their hearts—which some people still do to this day. However, nowadays it’s more common to feel like our ‘loaf’ or ‘fish’ isn’t good enough to be posted here, and we would much rather write in a personal blog or not write at all. Encouraging One Another

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing. (1 Thess 5:11, NIV)

In order for us to grow in our faith, we must have love and encourage others. Within the church, there are opportunities for believers to show love and support for each other. One of the reasons for fellowship together in the church is to encourage and build one another up. A word of encouragement offered at the right time can make the difference between finishing well and collapsing along the way.

How do we share our burdens?

In church, we may be surrounded by brothers and sisters we have known for years, and some perhaps for a lifetime. But how deep are our relationships? How well do we know one another? What do we know about their lives?

Put on Christ

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (Gal 3:27)

At political campaign meetings, people often wear a certain color of clothes (e.g. blue or red) to reflect their political stance or the party that they belong to. The clothes that we choose to wear often reflect our status, our values, and even our priorities. In the verse above, what does Paul mean by having “put on Christ”?
