“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Gal 2:20)
We were once far from God and dead in sin, but we found life, light, and love in Jesus Christ and now Christ lives in us. Think and reflect, how does Christ live in us?
None but Christ can satisfy our souls. We experience peace and joy in Him. We are blessed and loved by God. Even though we may encounter difficulties and sickness through our journey of life, as every morning is new, God’s grace is abundant. We have peace in Him. We are like His sheep in green pasture. As Psalms 23:2 reads, “He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.” With God’s love, we cannot but rejoice!
The love of Christ motivates us to be crucified with Him and to let Him live in and through us. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation (2 Cor 5:17). To transform and to be a new creation, one must be in Christ. Christ lives in us from the time we are saved. Therefore, we become a new creation by living out the life of Christ. God has made available all that we need spiritually to achieve this through our knowledge of Him. Through the Holy Spirit, we can transform ourselves and escape the corruption in the world.
“According to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.” (Php 1:20)
The life we now live is a calling to manifest Christ through us and break through our limitations, doubts and fears. The goal of our journey of life is to be there when the roll is called up yonder. “The riches of the glory…which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Col. 1:27) When we reach our heavenly kingdom, may the Lord say to us “Well and faithfully one! Enter into my joy, and sit down on my throne!”
