“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Cor 15:52)
If I had a dream, it would be expressed through the hymn “When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder.”
Once, while standing by the piano at my hometown church, we sang this hymn. As the melody filled the room, I closed my eyes and silently prayed, asking God to let me be there when the roll is called up yonder. In that moment, I felt that God had heard me, acknowledging my prayer with a flicker of His glorious light.
Because He is faithful, that brief, less-than-a-minute prayer marked the beginning of a lifelong journey of submission and trust under His guidance.
